Before I bought iPaper I thought it was just a nicer way to present our online catalog. Later I realized it would save us a lot of money.

We have been catalog merchants specializing in historic wood ship modeling since 1976. Our website (modelexpo-online.com) has been active for ten years. Nonetheless, we mail 128 page catalogs to our 50,000 customers six times a year at a cost of over $400,000 ($1.25 each in the mail).

We know that a paper catalog in a customers’ mailbox is the most effective way to get orders placed on our website.

After installing iPaper I realized that we might not need to spend so much on printing and mailing catalogs anymore! We could spend less on printing and postage, yet do a better selling job.  

Instead of printing 128 page catalogs we’ve cut our paper catalog sizes down to 32 and 48 pages featuring specials, sale items and new product releases. In each catalog we tell our customers that they should go to our website and see the new beautiful iPaper catalogs featuring all of our items in huge  photos plus more descriptive information. By creating online iPaper catalogs we use as much space as we need to do a good selling job; in some cases we even use two pages for an item. Our customers love it! And with iPaper anyone can click and order the item right out of the iPaper and put it in their shopping cart.

We are excited! Our new strategy started just a few months ago and our business is up a full 24% over the same period last year (2007). Last year our overall business increased less than 5%.
